WatchSome WebCams is an app that lets you watch webcam streams. The app comes with a few webcam feeds already added to a list. There are webcams in Dublin, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, San Francisco and other cities. Most of the built-in webcam feeds are not really great. For example, the one in Los Angeles partly shows a beach. The web camera is located on a rooftop, and you see more of a Coca Cola machine than of the ocean. The webcam in Hong Kong shows lots of buildings. The quality of the webcam feeds varies. None of them are video feeds. They are images that get refreshed every 5 or more seconds, so you don't really see movement. At first I thought they were still images, but I was just being impatient.
The good thing about this application is that you can add new web cameras. When you first launch the application, a help window tells you how to do just that. Basically, you have to find a webcam on your web browser and copy its URL, and then add it to the app. There is a nice feature that allows you to save all the new images automatically.
In short, this is an application that lets you keep an eye on multiple web camera feeds. You can and should add your own, because the ones included are really nothing to call home about.
